My internet is unhappy at dinner time.
My last three posts are images of bandwidth tests.
I seem to be having issues between 4pm and 10pm with my internet speed. As you can see it is about half the speed it should be until after 10pm - then it returns to normal.
I am going to keep a log over the next couple of days so I have something to beat Shaw with if the issue is not resolved soon.
iPhone OS 2.2.1
The iPhone 2.2.1 Software Update was released by Apple today. Updates were released for the iPhone, the iPhone3G and the iPod Touch (1G and 2G).
The release appears to include bug fixes but no major changes in functionality.
I know you have an iPhone or a Touch so you might as well update it. (Any software that I release will be compiled to run on the newest OS version.)
Mingle 2.2 Upgrade
So if there were subtitles in Tumblr this one would be “Man that was painful!”
It took me nearly an hour to upgrade Mingle to version 2.2 tonight. I had to index the “Terms” table which is really, really large. To be honest this table was already indexed and I had to delete the index and then add it again - Mat figured out it should have an index a while back and we tossed...

Apple’s iLife suite will be available tomorrow.
The update to iPhoto includes geotagging and facial recognition. The update to GarageBand includes music lessons.
All in, I think it is a must have.

At my place of work I am trying to encourage professional development. We don’t always have time to have sessions during the work day so I have being trying to set up lunch time talks and sessions.
Monday is typically really busy as it is the start of our Sprints so we opt to start the sessions on Tuesday. I have been calling it “Ruby Tuesday” and we have been covering topics...

Tumblrette & Friends
I must confess that the best part about Tumblr is the tools.
Isn’t that the case will all great designs though.
Things should be simple.
If you start Tumbling yourself make sure you get in on the goodies like Tumblrette and the Bookmarklet.
Apple is still profitable.
I am working on my new 24” Apple LED display right now. (It was a late Christmas present to myself for some work I had to do over the Holidays.)
It is amazing.
It is definitely the best display that I have ever worked on. Not to mention the fact that it charges my laptop.
It is no wonder Apple is still profitable in these tougher times…
